The interactions of linear waves with vertical wall and half pipes suspended breakwaters are investigated by a Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes (RANS) flow solver with a Volume of Fluid (VOF) surface capturing scheme (RANS-VOF) model. By validation with previous study koraim 2012 shows good agreement between the present numerical models and previous experimental models. The relationship between kt, kr, kl and D/h for horizontal half pipe breakwater model shows that, it decreases with increasing D/h while kr follows the opposite trend. The effect of angle of inclination of the barrier on the vertical direction as the higher the angle of inclination, the better the hydrodynamic performance of the barrier. The maximum velocities are close to the barriers, and notes that the velocity is large at crest of the wave.
