Self-efficacy and locus of control are essential psychological traits that can influence an individual's work performance and determine whether an organization succeeds or fails. The study's main goal was to determine how employee performance in Ghana's service sector, particularly the hotel industry, was influenced by locus of control, self-efficacy, and job involvement. All Ghanaian hotel sector employees were the study's target group. Five hotels in Ghana's central area were chosen through purposeful sampling due to the region's burgeoning hotel industry. The study adopted the quantitative approach and employed a questionnaire for data collection. There were 677 participants in all. The background characteristics of the respondents were examined using descriptive statistics. The study's hypotheses were tested using linear multiple regression. The findings indicated that locus of control, job involvement, and self-efficacy had a substantial impact on employees' performance. It is proposed that suitable selection tools be utilized to assess candidates' locus of control and self-efficacy based on the information gathered. Additionally, workshops should be held to promote employee confidence to ensure the capacity to be responsible.
