Building customer satisfaction and confidence through competitive service provision: An analysis of mobile network providers in Nigeria

This study examines the influence of competitive service provision on customer satisfaction and customer confidence focusing on mobile telecommunication operators in Nigeria. Research objectives from which research questions and hypotheses were formulated were outlined. Descriptive statistics were used and the results were presented in form of frequencies and percentages in tables. Regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses. The study reveals that competitive service provision has an influence on customer satisfaction (β=0.328, p<0.05) and customer confidence (β =0.254, p<0.05). In line with the findings of the study, competitive service provision whereby services that are rendered by mobile telecommunication operators are based on elements of competitive intelligence through which customers are satisfied with and confident about the various services provided are recommended.
