The objective of this review was to assess factors affecting access to agricultural information by rural households in Ethiopia. Secondary data from articles and books were used, and the collected data were interpreted to draw general conclusions. Farmers accessed information from various sources including training centers, farmers' network groups, family members, neighbors, non-governmental organizations, radio, mobile calls, television, and printed materials. However, access to information was influenced by factors such as age, sex, education level, marital status, settlement category, household health status, settlement orientation, respondents' mobility and income, social participation, frequency of market visits, access to credit, distance to the market, information-seeking behavior, attitude towards improved farming, production motivation, and innovation proneness, either positively or negatively. It was negatively affected by weak research-extension-farmer linkage, lack of development agent skills, inadequate monitoring of extension agents by subject matter specialists, low levels of technology adoption, insufficient sources of information, lack of irrigation schemes, long distances from home to farmer training centers, high costs and shortages of agricultural inputs, and the misuse of farmers' network groups for political purposes only. The responsible bodies should prioritize improving access to agricultural information to enhance the living conditions of rural households in the country.
