The Effect of Social-Demography on Training Needs of Agricultural Extension Agents in some Iraqi Provinces

The specific objectives of the study are to identify the training needs of agricultural extension workers in some areas of Iraqi provinces. An effective way to provide human resources with knowledge, skills, abilities and attitudes necessary to perform their jobs efficiently in the training needs of agricultural extension agents should be identified. Identifying the training needs of agricultural extension agents, validating them and developing a method of identifying the training needs of agricultural extension agents and training should be developed. Successful training is built on the basis of training needs. The data collected were analyzed by determining the mean of the responses from the respondents and one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA), using Borich need Assessment model for training needs. The extension agents agreed that they needed training in 16 areas of their job descriptions. However, the majority of respondents in the first categories under age, experience, number of training courses had a bachelor degree, were from urban areas, and attended training. There was significant relationship between number of training, job satisfaction, province, marital status, and location of work.
