Treated Sewage may be considered as new water resource in the developing, developed and water scarcity countries. The objective of paper is not only to find out potential of reuse but also it should be economical reuse. This study was initially focused on the current applications and reuse standards which are suggested by Centre for Public Health and Environmental Engineering Organization (CPHEEO) and Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) for Indian region only. This paper presents the potential of reuse in terms of quantity as well as quality from Sewage treatment plan (STP) based on Sequencing Batch Reactor process (SBR). Some representative plants of SBR process based on Cyclic Activated Sludge Technology(C-Tech, had been selected for case study. In each case study, the water quality parameters getting by analysis are nearly fulfil the reuse standards given by (CPHEEO).This paper finally demonstrates that the economical reuse of wastewater for cooling tower has great potential and is feasible by the Sequencing Batch Reactor technologies in present case study of thermal power plant at Nagpur, Maharashtra, India.
